This is a self portrait of sorts. Somewhat expressionist. It is meant to 'joke' about the narcissistic act of self-portraiture. Originally I painted a fairly accurate (according to an impartial observer, I might add) portrait of myself, then I hammered into it and made a grotesque caricature overlay, then I beautified this, and that is where the painting now stands.
